Job Summary
Applications are invited for appointment as Social Worker (at the rank of Senior Research Assistant) in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 533278) to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a bachelors degree or above in Social Work with qualification as Registered Social Worker in Hong Kong. They must have at least two years of experience working in employment assistance programs in social service units. The position offers excellent opportunity for collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals and different stakeholders such as funder NGOs and other institutions. Applicants should have high proficiency in written and oral communication in both Cantonese and English and the ability to work independently and as a team. Post-qualification experience in the provision of training would be an advantage.
The appointee will work in the Jockey Club Inclusive Employment project to conduct focus groups deliver training to allied health professionals and assist with the development and evaluation of the comprehensive assessment tool for inclusive supportive employment for persons with disability.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
