2026 Procurement Intern (Strategy & Capabilities)

As an AbbVie Procurement Intern you will participate in a paid ten-to-twelve-week summer program working on meaningful assignments that have a real impact on our business and patients worldwide. AbbVies global Procurement business offers you an opportunity to work in a variety of functions based on your degree type.

For this internship AbbVie is seeking a motivated and dynamic intern to join the Procurement Strategy & Capabilities team. This role will focus on exciting and innovative projects in the Procurement Risk and Procurement Analytics space.

Project Overview:

• Assist in the development and implementation of programs aimed at classifying supplier risks within the procurement landscape.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to link existing systems and data pools supporting seamless integration across procurement functions.
• Assist in procurement analytics projects by gathering and analyzing data to support scenario modeling for risk and compliance initiatives.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions focused on innovative solutions for procurement challenges.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled in university pursuing a bachelors degree in computer science data science supply chain management or related major.
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools including Python MATLAB SQL Pyspark or Power BI.
• Must be enrolled in university the semester following your internship
• Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
• Expected graduation date between December 2026 - June 2027.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience with MS Office (Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook)
• Strong analytical skills with a keen interest in procurement strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving written and verbal skills
• Exceptional interpersonal leadership and project management skills
• Proven track record of teamwork adaptability innovation initiative and integrity
