The Technical Support Officer will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to clients ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues.
The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills a strong passion for customer service and a solid understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting. The role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for hardware-related issues across desktops laptops printers and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
- Assemble set up and configure hardware components as per technical specifications.
- Diagnose and repair faulty hardware including motherboards CPUs RAM and hard drives.
- Perform component replacement and hands-on repairs when necessary.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of hardware.
- Log and track issues using a ticketing system; ensure timely resolution and follow-up.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand issues and provide clear instructions and resolutions.
- Maintain documentation related to support tickets repairs and hardware inventory.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
Requirements - Bachelors degree in Computer Science / in Engineering / Diploma in IT or relevant field.
- 03 years of experience in an IT service desk or hardware support role
- Strong knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware and troubleshooting.
- Experience with LAN/Wi-Fi network troubleshooting.
- Ability to assemble and configure computer systems and peripherals.
- Hands-on experience repairing and replacing faulty components.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Effective complaint handling and task management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts (24/7 IT Support)
