SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF CLASSIFICATION: The Junior Network Manager is an entry-level role designed to support the districts network operations while developing technical expertise under the guidance of the Senior Technology and Network Specialist. This position focuses on assisting with troubleshooting monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure secure and reliable technology access for students and staff. The role provides hands-on experience in network administration while contributing to the overall efficiency of the districts technology QUALIFICATION STANDARDSKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Thorough knowledge of network infrastructure including LAN WAN wireless systems and related Basic knowledge of network infrastructure concepts including LAN WAN wireless systems and related hardware. Ability to assist in troubleshooting network issues documenting results and escalating as needed. Willingness to learn cybersecurity practices compliance requirements and network monitoring techniques. Possess good organization record keeping and communication (oral and written) skills with the ability to follow direction and work collaboratively as part of a learner with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take -directed yet able to accept guidance; flexible and able to manage multiple priorities under work ethic coupled with enthusiasm for technology and professional to work effectively with district IT staff building-based staff and external duties as assigned by the Senior Network Manager Director of Technology Services Assistant Superintendent for Technology & Learning Superintendent or TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 24 years of experience in IT support network troubleshooting or a related technology role. Experience with IT help desk/ticketing systems is AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupports the districts network operations by assisting in troubleshooting monitoring and maintaining network closely with and learns from the Senior Network Manager in all aspects of network routine network health checks and documents issues for review and with the installation and configuration of network equipment such as routers switches and access to support tickets related to connectivity and access providing basic troubleshooting and escalating as documentation of network issues resolutions and inventory of hardware/ and assists in implementing cybersecurity best practices to safeguard district systems and monitor network activity for potential risks under the supervision of the Senior Network in compliance efforts related to district technology policies and data security project and administrative support for network expansion upgrades and vendor the Senior Network Manager during major system updates and infrastructure OF EMPLOYMENT:Salary: $54000.00 - $60000.00Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).2-4 years of experience in IT support network troubleshooting or a related REQUIREMENTS: Will need to attend evening meetings on ELIGIBLE: NOREPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Technology and Learning or designeeThis description may change at any time
