Job Summary
Intermediate District 287 is looking for On-call Substitute Licensed School Nurse
Intermediate District 287 is a west metro district for learners with unique needs. As an intermediate district we provide specialized services primarily setting IV special education to students from 12 member districts in the west metro.

- We are a trauma-informed district. We take into account past trauma and the resulting coping mechanisms when attempting to understand behaviors and best serve our students.
- There is a variety of support services in each school including School Social Workers Psychologists Counselors Behavior Intervention Specialists and Student Safety Coaches. All of whom are student-centered and focused on building relationships with each child.
- Small class sizes - typically 6-8 students per class.

Position Details:
- Locations: Brooklyn Park Eden Prairie Minnetonka New Hope Richfield
- Coverabsences on an on-call basis
- Local 2209 Licensed Salary Schedule A: $33.17 - $44.52 per hour

Education and Experience Requirements:
- One (1) year of experience as a professional registered nurse (RN) with six (6) months in school health services public health hospital or psychiatric nursing.
- Licensed School Nurse (LSN)
- Special Requirement: Must possess and retain a license as a Registered Professional Nurse in Minnesota.

Licensure Requirements:
- Current license as a School Nurse issued by Professional Educator Licensing Standards Board (PELSB).
- Public Health Nursing Certificate and CPR certification is required.
- First Aid certification is preferred.
