Major Duties:
1. Carries out complex activities with significant financial client and/or internal business impact.
Provides critical service to APAC clients on all key pricing concerns/queries.
Assist clients/partners/staff to meet with complex problem resolution consulting on effective ways to meet client needs and translating into action which gains credibility with clients.
2. May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management.
Provides input into long term strategy for department. Representing businesses to current clients via presentations.
Coordinate any other global efforts including transfer-of-work testing and business continuity planning.
Work closely with our Global Controls and Consultancy team on pricing strategy and providing operations support for projects.
3. Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees. Trains to new staff on new system procedures where required.
Identify and delegate projects/assignments and tasks to team members. Maintain accountability for the projects/assignments. Provide progression feedback and recognition to the individuals and the project team.
Co-coordinating systems testing in the team. Work with the IT department and the business analysis group to help design solutions that are pragmatic to meet the business need.
Review existing procedures processes and problems and recommend where automation or improved processes can be implemented.
Investigate and identify root causes of errors. Re-engineer processes to ensure that client needs are met and efficient processes are in place.
Work with other Pricing teams globally to identify gaps in processes within our follow-the-sun model and look to achieve efficiencies by removing duplication of effort.
Knowledge:
Solid technical knowledge of securities industry and instruments along with understanding of how the pricing / data maintenance functions relate to other operations areas
Extensive knowledge of financial industry including securities investment and accounting usually obtained by experience in several related areas is required to design process improvements. Key areas of knowledge to include:
Fixed Income Securities e.g. Bonds Equities ADRs etc.
Fund Accounting
Thorough working knowledge of Interactive Data Reuters and Bloomberg
Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentation skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office experience (focusing on Excel Word PowerPoint and Project) required. Knowledge of Visual Basic preferred.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing business requirements
Ability to display initiative confidence and professionalism in all dealings with cross functional business units
Experience working with virtual teams
Excellent time management skills
Maintain an understanding of the industry and NT in particular NTs systems infrastructure and process/data flows.
Understanding of how Pricing systems link and interface with other systems and an appreciation of how to implement such interfaces.
Demonstrates willingness to help others outside team
Good prioritization and multi-tasking skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Organizes own workload and establishes priorities
Experience:
A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required / preferred. Related Industry qualification (e.g. ACCA) is required / preferred
