Job Summary

The First Article Specialist is responsible for translating engineering design requirements into inspection plans and works both sides of inspection: 1) creation of inspection plans 2) review/approval of completed inspection plans. The First Article Specialist may also assist with shop floor documentation illustrations and graphics to demonstrate the manufacturing or verification processes.

Ideal candidates are team contributors have a strong attention to detail and are adept at following processes. They are willing to understand the full width and breadth of manufacturing processes and the impacts of Quality on customers and the internal Royal team.

Review data and models for engineering and quality requirements and compile said requirements.
Review CMM inspection plans to engineering and quality requirements.
Develop inspection plans to support process capability and verification (reference ICLS AS9102 receiving inspection check list by form #s)
Review FAI documentations for approval
Develop and Track FAI signals to ensure necessary resource allocation to achieve OTD
Coordinate source inspection dates and handle onsite customer source inspection
Perform tasks on schedule and coordinate schedule with department and other necessary personnel.
Ability to maintain regular punctual and reliable attendance as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards.
Abide by all safety quality personnel and other policies as applicable.
Train and then maintain customer inspection capabilities (Ex. Sikorsky (DQR) MR (DSQR))

Compensation for this role will vary based on a candidates experiences and skillsets. Anticipated pay range is between $22 and $30 per hour.
