Job Description
As a Transportation Coordinator in Pasadena Texas you will earn $68000 per year by assisting in coordinating shipping receiving and customer delivery activities managing over-the-road truck drivers and external transportation services.
FUNCTIONS:
- Review delivery paperwork for completeness and add accounting charges as required.
- Maintain driver training certifications medical clearances trailer inspections licenses and maintenance.
- Assist in scheduling drivers and equipment to meet customer delivery requirements collaborating daily with the Transportation Supervisor.
- Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and Bills of Lading for shipments ensuring approved carriers are used when needed.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for logistics support during nights and weekends (1 of 3 team members).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required; a current commercial drivers license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel Word and Outlook) and ability to multitask in high-pressure situations.
- Experience working with hourly personnel customer contacts and departments like Customer Service and Accounting.
