Sr. Accountant Equity

THE POSITION:
At STACK the Senior Accountant - Equity is an essential part of the Finance and Accounting Department. You will play an integral role in the equity accounting process reporting to the Equity Accounting Manager.

To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent communications skills strong attention to detail be exceptionally organized self-motivated and a master problem-solver. You should be able to thrive in a fast-paced multitasking environment and easily adapt to change and rapid company growth. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting and customer service (external and internal).

Responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for journal entries dividend and distribution calculations tie outs investor capital statements account reconciliations and discrepancy research within the equity accounting process
  • Navigate and understand the complexities of our organizational structure to accurately account for equity across multiple entities
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments including GL Accounting Finance and Treasury teams
  • Be the point of contact with investors regarding equity balances and questions
  • Assist with year-end audit and tax requests
  • Ad-hoc reporting analysis and special projects to move the business forward
  • Identify and implement ideas for process improvement
THE DETAILS:
  • Location:Denver CO 3 days in office
  • Travel:less than 10%
  • Compensation: $85000 to $% annual bonus potential

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must pass comprehensive background screening
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS in Accounting required
  • 3 years prior work experience
  • CPA and public accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Multi-entity and international experience preferred
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite especially Excel
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical problem solving and communications skills
  • Enjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teams
  • Ability to execute process and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision
  • Proven success in creating efficiencies in processes and procedures
