About the Role
We are seeking a Sr. Software Development Manager to lead our Video Platform team. This team is responsible for building and maintaining the systems that ensure that Twitch can deliver the best possible video experience to Viewers and Creators. You will support a team of software developers and partner with product managers technical program managers and other engineering teams from across the business.
You can work in San Francisco CA; Irvine CA.
You Will
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Video Platform team including responsibility for production systems team rituals (standup sprint planning weekly operations review etc.) and interfacing with other engineering teams product managers and technical program managers
- Be responsible for the growth development and performance management of software engineers under your leadership
-Contribute to strategic planning and partner with product managers and technical program managers to develop a strong vision for Twitchs video platform

- 5 years of experience in software development
- Experience running the day-to-day operations of software engineering projects of significant complexity
- Experience in hiring and developing engineers under your leadership
- Experience with languages/frameworks we use at Twitch: Golang Typescript/React
- Familiarity with video delivery concepts and systems
- Familiarity with Twitch gaming and/or streaming on Twitch

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
