MercyOne North Iowa- Emergency Medicine
Nocturnist shift- 7pm-7am
Level III Trauma Center
25000 visits/year
Full-service hospital with a 24/7 Hospitalist program air medical and ambulance services CT/MRI in the department bed-side ultrasound and point-of-use supplies in every room
42 hours of physician coverage/day
Tertiary center with 300 physicians & specialist support to keep patients in house- Trauma surgery Neurosurgery Cardiology GI ENT Pediatric Hospitalists OBGYN Pulmonary/Critical Care Neurology Infectious Disease Ortho Surgery Vascular Surgery Anesthesia Radiology etc.
Only transfers out < 1% of patients

Nocturnist Base salary: $436176 ($233/hour) incentives
$100000 recruitment bonus
120 hours of PTO/year
Extra shift bonus pay
Annual CME allowance of $4000

Candidates

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required. Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges. Above average communication skills. Ability to work with a team. Licensed or eligible for State of Iowaphysician license;Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
