Job Summary
Title:
Senior Model Based Systems EngineerKBR is seeking a Senior Model Based Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo CA.
In this position you will:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and develop products in Working Groups that address the design/development production and integration of Space Control systems.
- Build an understand of the adversarial threats-based kill chains facing US space assets.
- Facilitate/develop/present resolution of issues related to system-of-systems integration.
- Develop and maintain mission architecture interface requirements for Space Control programs.
- Perform cross-mission area architecture development through the identification of potential synergies and efficiencies across multiple mission areas based off of existing roadmaps and SSC Program Directorate-developed architectures.
- Evaluate and characterize the known trade-space and ensure requirements mapping of newly developed enterprise-level cross-mission area architectures.
- Develop candidate architectures that resolve common functions into common/enterprise solutions and reduce the cost associated with acquiring and maintaining multiple systems to achieve the same function.
- Collect analyze and report on data collected during system-of-systems integration events.
Qualifications:
Required:
- An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
- 10 years of relevant technical experience in aerospace.
- 7 years of applied experience using Model-based System Engineering (MBSE) tools such as SPARX or CAMEO.
- Independent problem solving with a variety of mission architecture systems engineering abilities including knowledge and experience in requirements development and analysis.
- Ability to work effectively with customers and program stakeholders and have robust written and verbal communication skills.
- Mission Engineering experience is a plus.
Desired:
- Masters degree in engineering.
- Experience with classified programs.
- Mission Engineering experience is a plus.
- Experience in Space system design development production and acquisition.
- Experience with technical mentorship.
- Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Level 1 and 2.
Work Environment:
- Location: On-site at the Aerospace Complex
- Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
- Working Hours: Standard
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40hrs
Basic Compensation:
$135000 - $175000
This range is for California only.
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge skills abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus relocation benefits short term incentives long term incentives or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
