As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking (Wealth Management) you play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing building and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable manner. As a core technical contributor you will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains supporting various business functions to achieve the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
Involve in a highly complex modernization initiative to solve time bound tasks
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience
Strong Technical skill in Java/J2EE Spring Springboot
Strong in RDBMS concepts; PL/SQL knowledge ORM - Awareness and basic Linux/UNIX
Hands-on experience on Intellij Maven BitBucket/GIT Test Automation and JIRA
Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations Agile project life-cycle
Take ownership of business-critical and complex applications
Identify technical improvements Process Improvements innovative solutions and suggest
Expertise in Java/J2EE hands on
code Reviews PMD JUNIT Performance Memory Management & Exposure to web services (WSDL or WADL) concepts and implementation

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

Conversant with UI frameworks Angular REACT JavaScript
Amazon Web Services / Cloud Foundry
Good to have knowledge of Cloud containers CI/CD tools
Good to have knowledge of Apache Kafka or other messaging systems
