Your role

As a Senior Projects Controls Specialist youll guide purposeful work that supports the future of the Project Services Hub business. Collaborating with a diverse multidisciplinary team youll explore integrated solutions offer thoughtful perspectives and partner with clients to help them build a more sustainable world.

What youll be doing

As a Senior Project Controls Specialistin our Project Services Hub (PSH) you will be an integral part of our Queensland PSH team providing project support to the wider business and working across all disciplines within Aurecon.

This role is based in Brisbane and you will work as part of the wider team to estimate analyse and manage costs for various projects. You will ensure that corporate cost control estimating and planning/scheduling standards are implemented and that all project-related activities comply across all business units. This role will see you working closely with the Major Project Representative Project Controls team and Project Managers to assist them in managing our projects to the cost and scheduling requirements.

• Provide project controls services to the project teams; including planning cost control earned value analysis forecasting report production and change management
• Prepare and analyse reports that outline the program/projects financial position in the areas of funding and costs
• Coordinate with project teams in establishing resource loading of schedules for staffing forecasting and reporting of earned value
• Establish project work breakdown structure (WBS) and effort budgets within a total cost management system along with maintaining the system
• Create maintain and review project schedules in Primavera P6 Contruent and Microsoft Project
• Utilise and be proficient in PowerBI for integration of Project Controls Data

What youll bring

You blend technical knowledge with empathy and big-picture thinking. Youre someone who thrives in dynamic environments builds meaningful connections and is motivated by purposeful work. Youll also have: 10 years experience within the engineering industry; either as a contractor client or consultant and bring an analytical mindset as well as the ability to innovate and solve problems. Holding a tertiary qualification in Finance Accounting Project Management or Engineering will be of great benefit to your application. Youll have broad knowledge of project-related software such as Microsoft Project Primavera P6 Contruent and an enterprise cost management system and its expected that youll come with prior experience in developing and executing project controls on large and complex projects along with a thorough practical understanding of diversified controls engineering systems principles and practices.
