Job Description

Title: Technology Coordinator

FLSA: Hourly Non-Exempt
Reports to: Director of Technology Integration
Hours: Full Time 12 months a year - 7:15 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Position Summary

The Technology Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management deployment and support of student and faculty iPads at Bishop Kenny High School ensuring a smooth and effective 1:1 learning environment. This role requires strong technical skills organizational ability and the capacity to provide training and support to students teachers and staff in alignment with the schools mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with the Director of Technology Integration to manage and maintain iPads using Mosyle MDM including app deployment profile management compliance and updates.
  • Assists in coordinating the distribution setup collection and inventory of iPads for students and faculty.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Technology Integration and administration on policies procedures and future planning for the 1:1 program.
  • Assists with facilitating the iPad repair processing and shipments.
  • Provide first-level support for issues related to iPads Macs PCs Google Workspace Microsoft 365 and related school technology.
  • Assist students teachers and staff in effective use of iPads and educational apps and technology integration strategies that enhance learning.
  • Maintain accurate device records user accounts and licenses.
  • Assists with the supervision of the Learning Commons.
Basic Qualifications:
  1. Must have a working knowledge of and a strong commitment to the mission of the Diocese and Catholic Church; be in full communion with the Church
  2. Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  3. Exercise courtesy to fellow employees and community
  4. Must be a self-starter well organized and perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work with a sense of urgency
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality
  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; punctuality is always a must; ability to travel locally as required; weekend and overtime work may be required
  7. Familiarity with iPad management preferably in an educational environment.
  8. Proficient in Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365 (Outlook Teams Office apps).
  9. Proficiency in Mosyle MDM or other mobile device management platforms.
  10. Familiarity with macOS and Windows operating systems.
  11. Professional bearing clean and neat personal appearance
  12. Ability to successfully complete a criminal history and background check
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires coordination and manual dexterity normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift as required in a normal office environment. Required Activities: Walking sitting standing stooping reaching talking handling hearing carrying and keyboarding
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients vendors employees and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: The ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: The ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
