Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and implementing Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in accordance with ISO 9001 DOT Part 192 and company standards.
- Conduct and oversee field inspections testing and audits of underground piping trenching horizontal directional drilling (HDD) backfill and restoration work.
- Ensure compliance with material specifications installation procedures and workmanship standards.
- Collaborate with field crews operations leadership and safety teams to resolve quality issues and prevent rework.
- Identifying and resolving workflow and production issues.
- Ensuring that standards and safety regulations are observed.
- Addressing and discussing issues and proposed solutions with leadership.
- Lead internal audits on internal & subcontractor resources and support third-party inspections.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation including inspection reports NCRs and corrective/preventive actions.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality-related issues.
- Provide training and guidance to field personnel on QA procedures and best practices.
- Interface with client QA representatives and participate in project review meetings.
- Track and report on quality performance metrics driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year of related QA/QC experience with at least five (5) years in underground natural gas distribution.
- Strong knowledge of DOT Part 192 API standards and underground utility construction.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 ASTM and applicable local/state regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office QA software and document control systems.
- Certifications such as CQA CQE or API 1169 preferred.
- Excellent leadership time management communication and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance
- Proven leadership in a cross functional team environment
Work Environment:
- Full-time on-site presence required.
- Field work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Coordination with internal teams contractors and client representatives.
