Overview
Our client is a well-kwown manufacturer and they are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Project Management to join the team. This role plays a critical part in planning executing and delivering system implementation projects on time within budget and aligned with company objectives. This role will also involve occasional travel to China to oversee project milestones and vendor relationships.
Responsibilities
- Support the Project Lead in the full lifecycle of ERP implemenation projects from initiation to close-out.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives scope and deliverables.
- Prepare and manage detailed project schedules budgets and reports.
- Oversee and coordinate with vendors partners and key stakeholders to ensure project alignment and timely completion.
- Utilize ERP and manufacturing systems to track progress validate data and generate key metrics.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and escalate issues when necessary.
- Facilitate constant communication between internal and external teams to ensure transparency and resolve conflicts.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure that project deliverables meet high standards and specifications.
- Support compliance with all applicable industry standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in project management in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven expertise with project management tools and methodologies; PMP certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP is a big plus.
- Strong skills in budget management timeline tracking and vendor relationship management.
- Excellent multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced culturally diverse environment and demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills.
- A commitment to fostering collaboration equity and respect within diverse teams and across stakeholders.
- Good command in both English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally particularly to China.
