Job Title: EHS Specialist

Department: Environmental Health and Safety

Reports To: EHS Manager

Position Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and meticulous Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. The resource will support the EHS department in ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety regulations and company policies. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in EHS practices in an international and multicultural context and give to the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment. Key responsibilities:

Assist in the development implementation and maintenance of EHS programs and policies

Organize and manage safety inspections and internal and external audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations

Participate in incident investigations and help develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Support the preparation and delivery of EHS training programs

Support the collection and analysis of EHS KPIs

Support internal functions as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Manage the Management of Change process related to EHS updating all the relevant documents impacted by the change

A day in the Life:

As an EHS Specialist you will support the development implementation and maintenance of programs policies and procedures to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and standards. Your primary goal is to support the building and maintenance of a safe healthy and sustainable work environment for employees.

Your role will be focused on:

Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities including training records inspection reports incident investigations and regulatory permits. Ensure that records are organized and readily accessible for regulatory agencies and internal customers

Conducting regular walkthrough of facilities and processes to check compliance with EHS standards and identify areas for improvement preparing reports detailing findings and recommendations for corrective actions. Supporting the team during organization of third parties periodic audits and the certification body team during the inspection

Collaborating to maintain compliance with permits requirements data collection and communication to local authorities as foreseen by current regulations

Supporting monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of Environmental Health and Safety programs and initiatives finding opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance EHS performances within the organization.

Education

Technical degree (Occupational Safety and Health Environmental Science or related technical/scientific subject areas)

Keys to Success:

Knowledge Skills Abilities

Knowledge of main regulations in matter of EHS with focus on technical aspects (contractors management firefighting ATEX etc)

Good knowledge of the English language

Good relational and interpersonal abilities proactivity and flexibility in working in a complex multicultural and improving context problem solving

Auditor ISO certification.

Excellent communication

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint)

2 years of experience in EHS field
