The Role
The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership in beauty and wellness along with the editorial expertise to drive a modern thoughtful content strategy that aligns with British Vogues unique perspective. This role requires strong editorial judgment a deep understanding of the evolving beauty landscape and the ability to manage and inspire a high-performing team.
You will oversee the development and execution of all beauty and wellness content - commissioning editing and conceptualising stories across digital print and social - while contributing to British Vogues flagship events and strategic brand partnerships. Collaboration will be key including working closely with editors across the global Vogue network to align on themes share insights and ensure best-in-class coverage.
A strong sense of storytelling cultural awareness and understanding of commercial priorities is essential.

What will you be doing
Writing overseeing editing commissioning and publishing beauty and wellness stories for all of British Vogues platforms from daily news hits to larger features and exclusives.
Collaborating on online syndications from Vogues global network.
Creating world-class visuals on shoots in collaboration with the editorial fashion and art team.
Working with the team to contribute to the social digital and video strategy for Vogue whether ideating on projects helping to propose or secure talent (in conjunction with The Talent Group) or feature in the content directly.
Partnering with the commerce team to create revenue driving shoppable content online.
Understanding and building commercial relationships working with the revenue teams on special projects whenever necessary.
Being in touch with the industry to build relationships secure editorial exclusives and ensure that Vogue remains at the forefront of the beauty and wellness conversation.
Staying up to date on any and all industry developments and news to ensure that our coverage of beauty and wellness across print and digital is both informed and unique.
Managing a dynamic and forward-thinking beauty and wellness team to ensure seamless content ideation and production.
About you
You are an editor with substantial experience commissioning and editing editorial features both long and short form.
You will have excellent contacts and relationships in the beauty & wellness world.
You will have a strong mind for idea generation and execution.
You will be a confident editor who is able to uphold and adapt to Vogues tone of voice.
You will have experience in health-focused literacy and a deep understanding of health reporting best practices including fact-checking.
You will have a keen eye for timely thought-provoking stories that resonate with readers.
You will have the ability to write and edit clean accurate and fun copy in a fast-paced environment.
You will have stellar communication skills both with internal colleagues and freelance contributors.
You will have experience managing and inspiring a team.
