The Role:
bestchance Child Family Care is currently seeking an exceptional individual with a positive and proactive approach to join our dedicated Family Support Services team.
Reporting to the Program Manager Childrens Therapy Services this role will be responsible for providing support referral and advocacy for families with young children facing challenging circumstances. The FSS program involves providing in home and community supports with a range of scaled interventions depending on the familys needs in a child-centred and family focussed way.
This role will be based out of our Williamstown office.
About you:
Through your genuine and caring nature you are able to foster and maintain positive sensitive and confidential relationships between children staff parents/caregivers and volunteers.
You are able to successfully advocate negotiate and problem solve with an ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with stakeholders and families from a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds.
In addition to the above you will need the following to be considered for this role:
- Registered as a Social Worker with AASW
- Hold a valid Employee Working with Children Check and satisfactory National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR training
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence

All bestchance Childrens Therapy Services staff are required to hold a WWCC and be able to provide a satisfactory National/International Criminal History Check and NDIS Screening Clearance prior to employment.

CTS provide therapeutic intervention and capacity building supports to children aged 0-10 years and their families. We service families through the NDIS Department of Educations Continuity of Support program and also provide capacity building supports to educators through the School Readiness Funding (SRF) program.
