Psychotherapist/Psychiatric Social Worker - Dual Diagnosis IOP

Nebraska Medicine is looking for aPsychotherapist or a Psychiatric Social Workerfor for the Addictions Division.

This position works in the Intensive Outpatient Program as well as the ASAM Level 1.0 Co-Occurring Comprehensive Treatment Program. The Intensive Outpatient Program serves up to 22 adult patients in an outpatient setting suffering from co-occurring disorders offering in-person and telehealth services. The Co-Occurring Comprehensive Treatment Program currently serves up to 12 patients in an outpatient setting suffering from co-occurring disorders with telehealth services. This position will work on a team led by an addiction psychiatrist and psychiatric providers other clinical therapists nurses and care staff all with experience in the assessment and treatment of substance use and other mental health disorders. Both programs utilize an Evidenced Based Curriculum medication support and individual and group mental health therapy.

Psychotherapist
Provide evidence-based counseling services (e.g. evaluation diagnosis consultation and treatment) to patients within the psychiatric ambulatory setting for the purpose of preventing or eliminating symptomatic maladaptive or undesired behavior and/or facilitating adaptation to physical illness.


Required Qualifications: Psychotherapist
Minimum of one year of practicum experience required.
Masters degree from an accredited college in a human services program which provided preparation for profession counseling required.
Organizational and communication skills required.
Experience with computers for access to patient information required.
Licensure as a mental health practitioner in the State of Nebraska upon hire or PLMHP with LMPH obtained upon completion of 3000 hours of supervised practice required.

Preferred Qualifications: Psychotherapist

Two years of professional therapy/counseling and mental health experience preferred including substance use disorders.

Psychiatric Social Worker

Assesses patients psycho-social needs diagnoses mental health conditions and provides evidenced-based psychotherapy in collaboration with other members of the patients health care team to reduce symptomatic behavior and facilitate adjustment to illness.

Required Qualifications: Psychiatric Social Worker

Minimum of one year of professional therapy/counseling and mental health care experience.
PLMHP LMHP or LIMHP required.
Master of social work degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited university required.
Organizational and communication skills required.
Experience with computers for access to patient information required.

Preferred Qualifications: Psychiatric Social Worker
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) using a combination of Certified Master of Social Work (CMSW) and Licensed Independent Mental Health 1 Practitioner (LIMHP) preferred.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) using a combination of Certified Master of Social Work (CMSW) and Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) preferred.

Two years of professional therapy/counseling and mental health experience preferred including substance use disorders.
