Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Location: Austin Texas United States
Position Summary:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to high-acuity adult patients in a supportive growth-focused environment. This role includes conducting evaluations managing medications and participating in interventional psychiatry services while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position offers flexibility professional development and a hybrid work structure.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adult patients
Support interventional psychiatry services including TMS and esketamine treatments
Build and maintain a caseload of approximately 32 patients per week once ramped
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team focused on coaching professional growth and continuous learning
Schedule & Shift Details:
Primarily on-site work: approximately 4 days in office and 1 remote day
Flexible hours and self-selected work style
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Masters degree or higher
Active Texas licensure as one of the following:
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certified (PMHNP-BC)
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Ability to manage high-acuity psychiatric patients
Strong communication assessment and collaborative skills
