You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailApplications are invited for appointment as Research Officer (holding the title of Project Officer) in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 533187) to commence as soon as possible thereafter on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a Masters degree in Social Sciences Organizational Studies Management or other related disciplines with at least 5 years of project management and/or supervision experience in research and training projects for non-profit services.
Applicants should have a high proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese) and good communication skills. They should have the ability to work independently and in a team be self-motivated and be familiar with evidence-based service delivery. They will be required to work on irregular working hours occasionally or when required.
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator and the Project Director in administering coordinating and implementing capacity building program for small-scale nonprofit organizations and its evaluation. He/she is responsible for the project management and strategy execution including the engagement and networking with participating non-profit organizations. He/she is expected to coordinate and execute the knowledge dissemination activities seminars newsletters and promotion materials etc. to achieve an integration between the research and program team at the operational level to ensure targets of outputs and outcomes are met and to perform other project-related duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will come with a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
