Job Summary

The General Labourer is responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks to support production warehouse and facility operations. This role involves assisting with material handling machine operation support packaging cleaning and maintaining workplace safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Load unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic equipment.
Assist machine operators and other production staff as needed.
Sort pack and prepare products for shipping or storage.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas including tools and equipment.
Follow company health safety and food safety (if applicable) guidelines at all times.
Report any equipment issues safety hazards or quality concerns to the supervisor.
Perform other general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous experience in general labour manufacturing warehouse or food production is an asset but not required.
Ability to work in various environments (including cold wet or noisy conditions depending on the department).
Physically fit: able to lift up to 50 60 lbs stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Reliable punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Basic English communication skills (reading writing speaking).
