Job Summary
JD-Major responsibility of the job will be driving outsourcing of high-quality engineering work
(Integrated Controls Systems Solutions) driving a quality framework to ensure defect free
deliverables within scheduled time. This position also needs to drive bandwidth of experienced
& skilled engineers for niche skills to establish flexibility in capacity for delivering engineering
work. Major responsibilities: -
1. Collaborate closely with Vendors to ensure common essential processes skill matrix
Resource loading plan Compliant management system Training plan Corrective Actions
Delivery and Quality process.
2. Ensuring a quality framework with every vendors & strict adherence of the same Defect
tracking RCA CA.
3. Ensuring quality metrics publish quality metrics & drive actions for improvement for each
vendor.
4. Drive MOS to measure / enhance skill sets of Vendor resources by partnering with Ops
managers & Vendors.
5. Focus on enhancement of soft skills of Vendor resources (verbal & written
Communications).
6. Monthly audits of Projects for back-office Engineering for outsourced work check
compliance to Outsourced Model. Drive hard compliance to avoid any audit observation.
7. Create strategy for each business group and skill (like TSI TAS BESS Skid etc.)
8. Half Yearly analysis of spend vs plan; decide strategy to reduce cost; lead the discussions
through a strong MOS with leadership.
9. Focus & increase HSE awareness for engineers traveling to sites.
10. Create Matrix - Skill vs vendor.
11. Periodic audits of all vendors publish reports with analysis of improvements action plans.
12. Drive strategy to reduce number of Vendors & establish key partners.
Experience
1. 8-10 years experience in Engineering industry (Delivering Engineering supply
commissioning of ICSS Projects)
2. Should have proven experience of delivering projects involving engineering packages (
DCS Instrumentation PLC Field Instruments etc).
3. Experience on Honeywell Experion is preferred.
4. Experience of outsourcing Engineering Work
5. Good knowledge on Quality & delivery processes for Engineering work
6. Few years of on-site experience is preferred.
7. Audit experience of Delivery processes is preferred.
