Objective
The client guides supports and provides thought leadership to all group companies in embedding sustainability in their business strategies and demonstrating responsibility towards society and the environment.
Environment Services function of the client has been driving new emerging themes in environment space which are relevant for the group companies such as Climate Change Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Water Stewardship Resource Efficiency (incl. Solid Wastes management and Circular economy) Nature & Biodiversity.
Major Responsibilities
Environmental Strategy Development:
Identify the group companies which need advisory support and plan design and develop strategy for actions for environmental stewardship.
Coordinate with the companies to define internal controls and measurement systems in alignment with companys broader business strategy.
Measure progress against strategies objectives and performance targets.
Support progress on Project Aalingana:
Support the communication of Aalingana Net Zero targets to the companies
Ensure companies have adopted Net Zero goals and have strategies and action plans to achieve their goals
Support the Aalingana governance secretariat by organising periodic meetings with key stakeholders
Capacity and Capability Building:
Design develop and impart training to build capability and capacity within the companies on emerging sustainability themes
Building Thought Leadership: Identifying emerging environmental trends most likely to affect the group.
Generate insights on the latest regulations technologies new practices and processes
Data handling and analysis skills
Advocacy and External Communication:
Facilitate and enable change within group through communication campaign by liaising with the groups Corporate communication and Sustainability officers.
Present groups voices and position at targeted fora
