Position Overview
Located in Texas at a site that supports both R&D and manufacturing.
Products supported include Intelliblade (microwave ablation) and cryotherapy systems for cancer treatment (Varian Products)
Work Location & Schedule
On-site required but flexible depending on transition and training.

Experience Requirements
Senior Electrical Engineer
Minimum 7 years of electrical engineering experience.
Strong background in test engineering test development and practical hands-on work.
Medical device experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
Support the ### Healthineers (VIS) Austin TX site as an electrical engineer for components devices systems software and test system for commercial products product enhancements and new product development.
Performing electrical design activities including but not limited to component selection circuit design/simulation prototype evaluation unit-level testing lifecycle testing system integration testing drawing/document creation and modification and execution of Engineering Change Orders within SAP for hardware firmware and embedded software components.
Continuously improving quality by addressing manufacturing and field non-conformities through troubleshooting and root cause analysis with the use of electrical test equipment and custom test sets.
Skills/Attributes:
Strong electrical design skills with schematic and engineering analysis capabilities.
Excellent written verbal and organizational skills including maintaining thorough and accurate engineering documentation required for medical devices and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of engineering and management.
Outstanding interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional internal and external teammates in the mechanical software quality manufacturing supply chain and service organizations.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented to produce high quality results in a timely fashion.
Understanding of electronic assembly fabrication and manufacturing processes with experience collaborating with contract manufacturing suppliers for new product introduction (NPI).
Knowledge of best practices for design for manufacturing serviceability and reliability.
Familiarity with electronic product development in a highly regulated environment.
Requirements for success in this role:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline required.
7 years of relevant experience in the design and manufacturing of custom electrical assemblies. Medical device experience is a plus
Proven track record of contribution to multiple products projects and processes taken from concept to fruition.
