Junior Electrical Engineer, Mining Projects

We are seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to support the design coordination and implementation of electrical systems in mining infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for early-career professionals eager to grow in a dynamic safety-critical environment contributing to the development of high-voltage and low-voltage systems under the guidance of senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing electrical design packages to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
• Support the installation and testing of electrical systems including lighting grounding backup power and control panels.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MEP commissioning QA/QC) to address technical challenges on site.
• Participate in inspections pre-commissioning activities and energization processes.
• Help prepare documentation and reports for electrical scope and quality control.
• Learn and apply international standards relevant to mining operations (NEC IEEE etc.).

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction projects.
• Basic knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD MS Office; exposure to BIM or MS Project is a plus.
• Fluent in Spanish; intermediate English preferred.
