Job Title: Raw Materials Specialist
Location: Manhattan NY 10038
Duration: 3 Months

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Need a strong Raw Materials Generalist - will need to adapt to the specifics of assigned category team
- Note: The is a void in the raw materials dept that needs to be filled in a contract capacity but the designated team for the contractor is pending.
- Individual contributor position responsible for the quality of colors and fabrics including garments and components to assure final product quality.
- Assist in the technical development pre-production and cataloguing of all fabrics and colors through to production.
- Visit company stores on regular basis to monitor the quality and consistency of fabrics and color under store lighting conditions.
- Typically reports to manager of Textile Technology.
- Typically directs Assistant Textile Technologist.
- College degree in technical education or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years experience in fabric and color development
