Job Summary

**Administrative Director**

This job is about leading the daily operations for a specific area.

The person in this role is responsible for managing money staff and making sure that customers (which include patients) have a good experience.

They will create and oversee systems that focus on serving customers better work on improving continuously and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

**Responsibilities:**

- Share a clear vision that matches the goals of the organization and set tough goals for themselves and their team encouraging growth and teamwork.

- Build strong relationships with everyone at the location creating a friendly environment where open communication is encouraged and teams can work together to solve problems.

- Prepare and show the yearly budgets and monthly financial results for operations check how money is being spent and make sure department leaders stay on track to meet budget goals.

- Manage operations by assessing needs giving direction and organizing resources to achieve goals.

- Ensure processes are in place to measure success and hold staff responsible for making any necessary changes to meet performance targets.

- Know and follow laws and regulations. Work with leaders from New London Hospital to ensure all standards are met and that patients have positive experiences.

- Listen to customers and staff understanding their needs and responding accordingly.

- Make sure patient and customer satisfaction is a top priority showing quality service to everyone they interact with.

- Create ways to develop and introduce customer-focused processes.

- Share information effectively and work well with others in a way that promotes good working relationships.

- Take part in local health care initiatives and collaborate with colleagues in primary care and specialized services to share best practices.

- Work with the Medical Director and Nurse Manager to develop and put into practice protocols and standards.

- Clearly understand and communicate the reasons for changes and contribute to plans to achieve the intended results.

- Recognize the need for constant changes and improvements to stay competitive in the local market.

- Encourage ongoing improvements in operations and empower teams to make these improvements.

- Communicate clearly both in speaking and writing about business and operational plans.

- Stay updated on new developments in outpatient care especially concerning payment care delivery and regulations that might affect operations.

- Involve team members in problem-solving.

**Qualifications:**

- A Bachelors degree preferably in healthcare administration or a similar field Required.

- A Masters degree or enrollment in a Masters program for Health Care Administration or Business Administration within the first year Preferred.

- At least 5 years of experience in managing operations especially in outpatient care rural health centers or community health centers

Highly Preferred.

- Experience with change management and improving quality

Highly Preferred.

- Ability to interact effectively with doctors administrators staff and the public with kindness and discretion

Essential.

- A strong background in business planning and financial analysis

Required.

- Proven ability to solve problems and work well with others to reach organizational goals

Required.

- Good communication skills.

- Rural Health Center Certification Preferred.

There is an expectation to achieve this certification within the first year of employment.
