Job Description
Scope of Responsibility and Accountability:
- Lead and support the development review and optimization of engineering designs technical specifications and project documentation for gas midstream infrastructure projects (gas processing transmission pipelines etc.) ensuring compliance with safety environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Provide input during feasibility studies concept design and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phases ensuring technical solutions align with commercial objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends regulatory developments and potential business opportunities in gas transmission distribution and storage.
- Interpret and apply financial modelsdeveloped in collaboration with finance teamsto assess investment viability ROI IRR payback periods and cost structures integrating these insights into project planning and execution.
- Prepare sector briefs business cases and investor-ready presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance Legal Procurement Commercial HSE Compliance) to align technical requirements with contractual regulatory and strategic considerations.
- Coordinate with engineering consultants contractors and vendors to ensure delivery in line with design standards project specifications budget and schedule.
- Support project cost estimation scheduling and resource planning while monitoring budgets and milestones to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Facilitate technical and commercial due diligence for potential infrastructure investments and partnerships.
- Participate in site visits construction supervision quality checks and safety audits reporting any deviations or risks and recommending corrective measures.
- Track and report project progress risks and opportunities to management maintaining accurate records of engineering changes commercial assumptions and contractual obligations.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory applications permits and compliance documentation.
- Support commissioning testing and start-up activities in coordination with Operations and EHSQ teams ensuring smooth transition to operational phases.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with industry stakeholders government agencies and project partners to support business growth and successful project delivery.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Civil Chemical or related Engineering discipline (minimum Second Class).
- Minimum of 7 years experience in gas infrastructure development Tier 1 EPC projects upstream oil & gas energy consulting or investment.
- Strong technical knowledge of oil & gas engineering standards pipeline construction midstream operations and gas value chains.
- Ability to interpret financial models to support technical and commercial decisions.
- Professional certification (e.g. COREN PMP NSE CFA ACA) is an advantage.
- Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and aligning execution with business objectives.
