Job Summary
About Company: Our client is a leading Civil Engineering and Construction firm in Nigeria.
The company is seeking to hire an experienced Project Engineer who will plan design develop and manage projects for the construction or repair of buildings and a wide variety of other construction projects.
The role requires knowledge and competencies in project management as it is a critical support role in developing adequate project management processes for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support in data harvesting from both internal and external sources for development of good project management processes.
Prepare for review project management processes/procedures and documents/templates for tendering purposes.
Supervise technicians technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs calculations and cost estimates
Prepare for review internal project management templates for deployment to projects.
To contribute to the operations department tender appraisal team in order to submit robust tender packages for tendered works.
To participate in internal subcontractors technical evaluation.
To work with other teams in the Project Management Office to develop proper planning and monitoring metrics for diverse projects being undertaken by company.
Prepare monitor and report the project risk register for different projects.
Collaborate with other departments and units to develop project needs and practical solutions.
Prepare project presentations for the PMO and management use on all projects.
Carry out other roles and responsibilities as may be required from time to time
Checking specification with Operation Manager and Project Manager.
Responsible for maintaining all Materials related master data including items. Vendor item Item Warehouse Item Resource Planning and Vendor price contracts in conjunction with the base.
Requirements
Key Requirements
HND/ in Engineering or Environmental Sciences.
7years experience in a civil construction project roles project and technical roles.
Project management certification is an added advantage.
Strong analytical and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a cross-cultural environmental.
Excellent communication both written and verbal.
Benefits
Compensation: Basic Pay is N450k - 750k monthly net
