Job Summary

Job Summary
The Evergreen State College seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach in our Applied Management sequence which prepares students to lead and manage in organizations that prioritize social impact sustainability and innovation. The successful candidate will teach a winter course Managing What Matters: Sustainable Operations followed by one or more of the following courses in spring quarter: Introduction to Sustainable Supply Chain Management and/or Strategic Thinking for a Changing World . These courses serve students at the upper-division undergraduate level many of whom are preparing for careers or further study in mission-driven community-based or environmentally focused sectors. We are looking for a dynamic teacher with both academic knowledge and practical experience in applied management disciplines. Ideal candidates will have a background in project management operations sustainability or strategic planning with demonstrated ability to integrate equity and systems thinking into their teaching. Experience with collaborative learning case-based pedagogy or interdisciplinary approaches is especially valued. This is a unique opportunity to support emerging leaders as they develop the skills and mindsets to drive meaningful change in complex environments. This is an adjunct faculty position and not eligible for continuing appointment. All requirements for the position must be completed at the time of hire. Salary for all positions is based on experience and degrees (see for more information). We do not offer relocation expenses for our adjunct faculty positions. This position allows for remote instruction and thus does not require teaching on our physical campus in Olympia Washington. However a condition of employment is that you have residency in one of the following states: California Florida New York Oregon Texas or Washington State and teach remotely from that state.

Minimum Qualifications
MBA or PHD in Business Management or related field At least one year of teaching

Preferred Qualifications
3 years of teaching at the college level or above Work experience in project management operations sustainability or strategic planning
