Summary:
This role will support the Americas Procurement team with data analysis reporting and operational excellence. They will promote a lean culture and mindset of continuous improvement and will work closely with Logistics procurement operations master data management and other functions to improve procurement processes and metrics
- Supports Commodity Managers with data collection and analysis in support of strategic sourcing and procurement projects. Uses data to drive insights and actions.
- Supports and in some cases owns the data assigned to organizational KPIs including cost savings payment terms and spend under contract.
- Responsible for the aggregation and consolidation of data from multiple sources and the necessary analysis to track and continuously improve metrics.
- Identify data integrity issues and develop process to resolve discrepancies.
- Owns day-to-day assigned procurement activities as it relates to their assigned categories including but not limited to supplier approvals and contract storage.
- Support data analysis for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to support category and/or negotiation strategies.
- Supports and in some cases leads project management activities for strategic sourcing projects.
- Builds relationships with business stakeholders that facilitate the realization of strategic and financial value.
- Document and manage Vertiv freight payment process.
- Document other Logistics Procurement processes as necessary
Education & Certifications:
- BS/BA in Supply Chain Logistics Business Engineering Data Science/Analytics Computer Science or related area.
- Prefer a minimum of 4 years experience in supply chain/operations.
- Certification in CPSM CSCP CLTD Business Intelligence Lean Six Sigma Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence preferred (Green Belt Black Belt Lean Certified etc.)
Requirements:
- Proven proficiency in data analysis and advanced Excel skills (e.g. VBA macros and pivot tables)
- Proficiency with PowerBI and other data analysis/visualization tools (Microsoft Excel PowerPoint etc.). Ability to create reports and generate insights.
- Experience with process mapping tools preferred (e.g. Microsoft Visio)
- Basic proficiency in use of consumer AI Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Project Management Skills ability to organize and communicate. Use goals to guide actions and create detailed action plans and processes.
- Critical thinker and analytical
- Solid business management skills and reputation as a change agent.
- Ability to communicate to various audiences and train others.
- Execution oriented with a strong sense of urgency around tangible results.
- English language skills required and Spanish language is a plus
