Job Summary

Intervention Support- Instructional Assistant

The Intervention Support position provides intensive small-group supplementary literacy English language and math intervention for students who find learning difficult. The goal of Intervention is to lift the academic achievement of students who are not achieving grade-level expectations in reading and math or are learning English. Through small group instruction using research-based literacy practices 3-5 days per week in 30 minute sessions we hope to support students growth in reading.

Job Description

Teach reading math or English language instruction with small groups of students of 4 or less
Attend training to understand the intervention programs and its components
Take notes during instruction and provide feedback regarding students progress
Monitor students growth via assessments
