As a Line-Up Editor you will be in charge of preparing the lineup of international national and regional news for newscasts. You will supervise the on-air presentation or online publication in keeping with corporate standards and policies.
This is a permanent full-time position. For information the successful candidate will initially work from Friday to Sunday morning.
The schedule may be subject to change depending on operational requirements.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Seven (7) years relevant journalism experience or equivalent
Skills:
Extensive general knowledge
In-depth knowledge of national/international news and current affairs
Demonstrate strong leadership
Solid command of writing techniques specific to the radio medium
Thorough knowledge of newsroom logistics
Knowledge of production techniques
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to go on air to read news bulletins an asset
Fluent in the working language: French
Intermediate oral writing and reading proficiency in English
Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canadas Journalistic Standards and Practices.
