The Exploitation Analyst is in charge of doing advanced technical analysis to find evaluate and take advantage of digital networks and systems. The analyst works with a team of people from different fields to use their knowledge of cyber operations digital forensics and data analysis to help with intelligence goals and make decisions about operations. The best person for the job will have a lot of experience with cybersecurity network analysis and solving technical problems in high-security settings.
Main Duties:
Look at digital networks and systems to find weaknesses threats and chances to take advantage of them.
Do technical assessments and use cyber exploitation methods to help with intelligence operations.
Combine data from different sources such as digital forensics SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) and data from the internet.
Make in-depth analytical reports and briefings for senior leaders and mission partners.
Work with cyber operators intelligence analysts and law enforcement agencies to set common operational goals.
Stay up to date on new cyber threats tools and tactics.
Make sure that all legal policy and regulatory rules about privacy and information security are followed.
Required Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in cybersecurity computer science information technology or a related field (a masters degree is preferred).
At least two years of experience in cyber analysis network exploitation or a field that is very similar.
You must have an active TS/SCI security clearance or be able to get one.
Being able to use cyber analysis tools and platforms like Wireshark EnCase Splunk and SIEM.
Being able to analyze solve problems and talk to people well.
Showed that you know about network protocols operating systems and security architectures.
Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications: Certifications like CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) CISSP GCIA or something similar.
Experience helping with missions for the Department of Defense or the Intelligence Community.
Experience with scripting and automation languages like Python and PowerShell.
Understanding of advanced persistent threats (APT) and cyber kill chain methods.
Pay and Benefits:
Pay per hour: $45 to $60 depending on your level of experience education and security clearance.
