Position- CAD Specialist
Role Overview
The CAD Specialist is responsible for developing and managing digital patterns and garment designs that support fast flexible and sustainable production. This role is central to ensuring precise pattern-making material efficiency and seamless collaboration between design production and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Pattern Design & Development
- Create modify and optimize garment patterns using CAD software (Gerber Lectra or similar).
- Ensure patterns are accurate scalable and production-ready.
- Production Integration
- Collaborate closely with the production team to ensure patterns align with PRODEMs lean production methods and short lead times.
- Optimize marker-making to minimize fabric waste and improve material utilization.
- Data & Documentation
- Maintain a digital library of patterns blocks and garment specifications.
- Ensure version control and proper documentation of all CAD files.
- Collaboration & Liaison
- Work as a bridge between design sales and production teams to deliver customer-specific designs efficiently.
- Support sales teams with quick visualizations for customer approval.
- Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to automation robotics AI and advanced 3D technologies.
- Recommend improvements in digital workflows to reduce lead time and increase accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Fashion Technology/ CAD/CAM or related fields.
- Experience: 4-7 years of experience in CAD pattern-making garment design or apparel manufacturing preferably in workwear or industrial clothing.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (Gerber Lectra or similar).
- Knowledge of marker-making and material efficiency optimization.
