Job Summary

The Editor Recruitment Specialist will work closely with the Head of External Editor Resourcing to execute our strategy for attracting engaging and onboarding high-calibre external partners across key academic journals.

This exciting role offers the opportunity to develop your skills as part of a new team playing a vital part in ensuring Taylor & Francis maintains a diverse and robust editorial network that drives content growth quality and innovation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supporting the Head of External Editor Resourcing in achieving our end-to-end strategy for identifying recruiting and retaining external editors with a focus on quality diversity and subject coverage.
  • Working closely with publishing and editorial teams to directly support the identification recruitment and appointment of key external partners to meet business goals and editorial strategy.
  • Meeting and where possible exceeding key performance indicators related to successful recruitment and network health.
  • Working cross functionally with internal colleagues including Publishing Marketing Research Development & Outreach and Editor Services to continuously improve processes relating to editor recruitment and onboarding.
  • Working directly with Editors and potential-Editors where appropriate to support their partnership with T&F and ensuring that they have the information skills and resources they need for success.
  • Staying informed of market trends competitor strategies and innovations relating to talent management.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Academic Publishing experience including interaction with External Editors.
  • An understanding of publishing workflows and editorial standards.
  • Experience gathering and using data to inform decision making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent numerical and verbal reasoning skills.
  • A proactive approach to work with a willingness and ability to deliver on time and to a high standard.
  • Experience working with contacts across the world.

Additional Information :

Location: 

We ask that candidates live within a commutable distance of our office in Bengaluru to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office location to collaborate as required. There is an expectation for a minimum of 3 days per week in-person time.
