Job Description

DAC Engineered Products is currently seeking a Materials Support Specialist to join our growing team. The Materials Support Specialist will provide day-to-day and project-based support to the Materials Manager and department. This role will play a key part in ensuring that inventory processes warehouse operations and materials management projects are carried out accurately efficiently and in alignment with company goals.

Salary Range: $65000/year to $100000/year

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support inventory and warehouse clean-up initiatives to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform cycle counts and help keep inventory aligned with demand.
  • Coordinate onboarding of new brakes projects ensuring materials and processes are in place for successful launches.
  • Manage the new vac gen PMA supply tracking availability and usage.
  • Drive second source de-risking efforts to strengthen supply chain resilience.
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining a bonded warehouse in compliance with regulations.
  • Contribute to Quantum module maturity by ensuring data accuracy and system improvements.
  • Track organize and maintain documentation related to materials projects and compliance.
  • Collaborate with purchasing production engineering and quality to ensure materials availability.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels usage and variances; highlight trends and issues to leadership.
  • Help create and maintain procedures and best practices for materials management.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for department projects and initiatives.
  • Act as a backup to the Materials Manager when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Four year degree in Supply Chain Business or related field is highly preferred; and/or five plus years relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience in inventory control warehouse operations or materials management preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Quantum experience is highly desirable).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities meet deadlines and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Problem-solving mindset with willingness to roll up sleeves and support hands-on tasks.
  • Analytical and data driven with the ability to interpret trends.
  • Team oriented with strong communication skills.
