The primary purpose of the Executive Support Specialist position is to provide confidential executive and administrative support to the Director of the OHA Equity & Inclusion Divisions Civil Rights Learning and Inclusion (CRLI) section. The position also manages administrative workflows provides operational support oversees division-level office management and handles division-wide business support including financial processing and tracking for the CRLI section. This role ensures that the office of the CRLI Section Director is operationally efficient effective and balances internal and external demands. This hybrid position is required to work onsite at the Portland-based office two days per week.

This full time permanent union-represented position falls under the Executive Support Specialist 2 classification. The AA Rate Pay Range for this position is $4207.00 -$5842.00 USD Monthly

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be visible in your application for consideration.
One year of experience performing administrative duties in support of agency projects or programs. Qualifying experience would involve data collection and analysis; project evaluation and/or analysis; interpretation and application of laws rules and regulations; or similar experience.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computer applications and software including MS Office Suite Adobe Suite Zoom MS Teams and Smartsheet; ability to quickly learn new technologies including digital accessibility testing and remediation tools (Common Look or equivalent tools).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a complex matrixed environment with multiple directors managers and teams.
  • Proven customer service skills including responsiveness problem-solving and ability to manage high-profile projects and diverse partner needs.
  • Skill in performing administrative and operational functions requiring independent decision-making within established rules policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated initiative and independent judgment in navigating issues managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to apply equity and inclusion principles including anti-racism cultural humility ADA accessibility and culturally responsive practices in daily work and decision-making.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and adapt to changing demands throughout the work day.
  • Fluency (written spoken or both) in a non-English language including American Sign Language.
