Position Summary: The Controller supports the Executive Director of Accounting and Payroll inoverseeing the districts accounting operations including general ledger management accountspayable payroll fixed asset accounting bond accounting and financial reporting. This positionplays a critical role in ensuring accurate timely and transparent financial informationmaintaining strong internal controls and supporting compliance with Board policies district
business practices state and federal regulations and generally accepted accounting principles(GAAP).
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors in Accounting Finance or related field
Experience:
Seven (7) years of progressively responsible accounting experience including atleast four (4) years in a supervisory or management capacity
Specialized Knowledge Licenses Etc.:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
Knowledge of district and audit requirements for the provision of financial information
Knowledge of financial recordkeeping procedures laws regulations and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
