Job Description

As a member of the Battery Modeling team you will be responsible for Thermal modeling for all products. You will be fully integrated with the Product Design team from the earliest stages analyzing and informing the design of cutting-edge products. You will also work with cross-functional teams within Apple to provide design guidance in terms of thermal impact of the product features.


  • BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with CFD and thermal modeling
  • Experience with Ansys electronic desktop Icepak or similar
  • Experience with COMSOL or similar softwares


  • 3 years relevant industry experience
  • Masters degree PhD or equivalent job-related experience in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Expert level skillset related to Ansys electronic desktop Icepak or similar
  • Familiarity with Ansys HFSS 3D Layout and SIWave.
  • Experience in transient thermal simulations of assemblies.
  • Familiarity with NX COMSOL Cadence or similar
  • Experience in electronics cooling.
  • Familiarity with multi-physics coupled modeling integrating mechanical thermal and electrochemical behaviors.
  • Python or other scripting languages.
  • Experience in Allegro and electronics layout design
  • Familiarity with li-ion cells and battery packs
  • Experience in defining and leading technical development roadmap
  • Experience in managing project teams
