Job Description
Job Title: IT Project Manager / Scrum Master
About the Role
Gartner is seeking a well-rounded IT Project Manager/Scrum Master to provide leadership for technology projects and this role you will lead multiple IT projects and Agile teams ensuring initiatives are planned and executed in alignment with company strategy goals and standards. You will be accountable for the quality of results upholding PM team standards throughout the project lifecycle and collaborating with geographically dispersed teams. Experience running projects in an Agile/Scrum environment is essential.
What You Will Do
- Develop comprehensive project plans with clear objectives timelines and resource allocations.
- Manage activities for IT projects of varying types and sizes applying both Agile and traditional project management principles to ensure timely high-quality delivery.
- Lead technical teams using Agile methodologies and Scrum practices facilitating Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups planning reviews retrospectives) with clear agendas and actionable outcomes.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and provide timely updates on project progress risks and issues.
- Proactively identify assess and mitigate project risks; remove blockers and resolve issues collaboratively.
- Track task completion maintain accountability and conduct regular review meetings to assess progress.
- Help development teams achieve stakeholder (Product Owner) satisfaction and encourage adherence to Scrum principles.
- Collect and report on analyzed data with project managers/technical leads using metrics to communicate project status and record achievements.
- Broadly communicate project status using metrics
- Collaborate with other ETO PMs and Program Managers to document strategy and roadmaps for evolving technology services and platforms.
- Review rationalize and integrate multiple project milestones into structured cohesive Agile boards project plans or agreed deliverables.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with project team participants and business stakeholders.
What You Will Need
- 2 to 5 years of experience working with IT Development or Operations teams in a project management capacity.
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field required.
- Strong communication collaboration people management and influencing skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate effectively in new environments and a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple project deliverables.
- Critical thinking with excellent judgment and initiative.
- Experience leading collaboration with multiple technical teams to help resolve blockers.
- Dedicated multi-tasker with excellent organizational skills.
- Clear communicator both written and verbal.
- Scrum Master and/or Project Management certification preferred.
