Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides overall supervision of the Stewards department including planning scheduling organizing execution and evaluation of kitchen and banquet functions on an assigned shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides adequate training and tools for employees so they may effectively perform necessary job duties.
- Makes frequent inspections to maintain proper standard of storing handling and maintenance of industrial chemicals kitchen and banquet equipment.
- Ensures all function areas are kept clean and in proper condition to provide a safe working environment for employees.
- Inputs work orders and order cleaning supplies.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory departmental and company policies
Job Requirements:
- Three years back-of-the-house experience in stewarding required.
- Must have prior experience in all phases of kitchen administrative work and knowledge of all kitchen equipment and industrial chemicals.
- Must be certified in food sanitation and knowledgeable in all phases of banquets.
- Must possess excellent customer service communication leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of computers is helpful.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
