Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides overall supervision of the Stewards department including planning scheduling organizing execution and evaluation of kitchen and banquet functions on an assigned shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides adequate training and tools for employees so they may effectively perform necessary job duties.
  • Makes frequent inspections to maintain proper standard of storing handling and maintenance of industrial chemicals kitchen and banquet equipment.
  • Ensures all function areas are kept clean and in proper condition to provide a safe working environment for employees.
  • Inputs work orders and order cleaning supplies.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory departmental and company policies

Job Requirements:

  • Three years back-of-the-house experience in stewarding required.
  • Must have prior experience in all phases of kitchen administrative work and knowledge of all kitchen equipment and industrial chemicals.
  • Must be certified in food sanitation and knowledgeable in all phases of banquets.
  • Must possess excellent customer service communication leadership and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of computers is helpful.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
