We are currently seeking a full-time Infection Control Nurse (Statewide)to join our team atMO Regional Officelocated inJefferson City Missouri.
The Infection Control Nurse (Statewide) is responsible for performing a variety of duties involved in the prevention and control of infectious disease to include the collection definition interpretation and reporting of data in a systematic manner in Statewide system. Assist site staff with care plan development and provision of care for patients with acute and chronic infectious disease and serves as a consultant for nurses physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding care tracking and reporting of patients identified with infectious disease.
Qualifications
- Must hold valid RN license or LPN license (with approval) in Missouri CIC (certification in infection control) preferred
- 1 to 3 years experience providing nursing care in a public health environment or acute care setting with focus on infection prevention and control
- Experience working with a high degree of autonomy required
- Must maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certification
- Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
- Must submit to and pass drug testing per agency requirements where applicable
- Must have at least two (2) years of related correctional experience or correctional healthcare experience with a state correctional system
