Role: Tandem/HP NonStop Engineer

Location: Remote (Berkeley Heights NJ)

Long Term Contract W2 / C2C

Core Skills & Experience:

7 years of software development in enterprise environments preferably large financial institutions banks or payment systems.
Strong hands-on experience with Tandem / HP NonStop systems (critical for transaction processing environments).
Proficiency in COBOL and TAL (Transaction Application Language) development.
Prior experience designing developing and maintaining large-scale mission-critical applications (e.g. high-volume transaction processing).
Solid knowledge of data replication and synchronization tools - especially Shadowbase or Oracle GoldenGate.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in complex legacy systems.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams with business and technology stakeholders.
Strong communication and documentation skills.

Additional Nice-to-Have Skills:

Familiarity with fault-tolerant systems and high availability architectures.
Experience in financial services payments or capital markets (since Tandem/HP NonStop is widely used there).
Knowledge of SQL/Enscribe database environments on Tandem systems.
Good understanding of system performance tuning troubleshooting and production support.
