Job Description
Overview:
This is a senior-level opportunity is with a non-union company that prioritizes family honesty and teamwork offering a great environment for career growth.
The position is full-time in Columbus for a HVAC service technician.
What Youll Do
This position requires working independently performing preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial systems.
These systems include rooftop units (5-40 tons) split units unit heaters VRF systems VAV boxes air-cooled chillers low-pressure boilers and some refrigeration equipment like walk-in coolers and freezers.
Operate with a strong focus on safety and adherence to company protocols.
Apply basic automation controls knowledge to system operation.
Provide guidance to team on troubleshooting complex system issues
Participate in a ride-along program to acclimate to company procedures.
What Youll Bring
Experience within HVAC troubleshooting repair and maintenance of commercial equipment.
Certifications: Valid EPA certification (Type 1 and 2 required; Universal preferred).
Education: Preference for candidates with formal HVAC schooling.
Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
Comfortable with heavy physical work and various weather conditions
Candidates must pass a drug test and background check.
Location: Columbus - Candidates within an hour of the greater Columbus area are encouraged to apply.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 am 3:30 pm. Overtime available not mandatory. On-call is mandatory not excessive and is paid double time.
Compensation: Starting rate of $35 to $50 per hour.
