Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Analyzer Field Service Technician located in White Bear Lake MN. The technician will be responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing particle analysis equipment and mass spectrometers at customer sites globally and at the factory.
Daily tasks include diagnosing system issues conducting routine maintenance calibrating devices and providing technical support to clients. Additional responsibilities include documenting service activities collaborating with the engineering team and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the General Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Providing service and customer support both remotely and at customer sites.
- Managing all on site commissioning repair maintenance and test tasks
- Diagnosing measurement errors or technical problems and determining effective solutions.
- Assisting with assembling configuration final checkout and troubleshooting products at the factory when not traveling.
- Performing instrument calibrations and generating appropriate certificates.
- Providing valuable practical input to new product development
Qualifications
Proven field service experience with a highly technical product line and end users preferably with laboratory medical or process analyzers.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Some international travel will be required.
- Ability to troubleshoot test repair and service precision measurement equipment
- Technical skills in installation maintenance and repair of scientific measurement instruments
- Ability to troubleshoot system issues and perform equipment calibration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer interaction and technical documentation
- Ability to work independently and ensure customer satisfaction on-site
- Relevant technical certifications or an associate degree in a related field is required
