Overview:
The Finance Director is responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations driving efficiency through standardized processes and supporting global accounting and business operations by delivering accurate and timely financial information.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the Shared Service Accounting Team in Thailand to support global accounting and financial transaction processes across multiple regions.
- Ensure strict compliance with US GAAP Thai GAAP and internal control standards.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including month-end quarter-end and year-end closings as well as account reconciliations ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure statutory compliance for Thailand including preparation and submission of financial statements VAT withholding tax and corporate income tax (mid-year and year-end).
- Collaborate with Corporate Finance and cross-functional leadership teams to drive financial policies procedures internal controls and operational improvements.
- Manage annual audits and quarterly review processes with internal and external auditors.
- Hire train mentor and retain top accounting talent to build a high-performing finance team.
- Partner with international Accounting and Finance teams to support daily monthly and quarterly activities including intercompany transactions.
- Foster a culture of professional growth continuous feedback and recognition.
- Proactively assess organizational needs and implement strategic changes to support business scalability.
- Provide support to local Operations Supply Chain and Purchasing teams on finance-related administrative activities.
- Develop a high-performance finance team managing retention disciplinary actions and performance evaluations while encouraging teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience including proven success as a Financial Controller Finance Director or in a similar leadership role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial management accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement operational strategies that enhance organizational performance.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in a multinational environment.
- Proficiency in accounting systems such as NetSuite (ERP) Stampli (AP) (CRM).
- Background in companies selling hardware or physical goods; experience in service/software/SaaS is a plus.
- Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
- Hands-on detail-oriented and proactive.
